Hi guys,
It’s been a very busy week!
I work in retail and we’re currently having our summer sale, so I’ve been hugely busy at work this week, sorry for not posting!
This week I have however, finally done something I’d been wanting to do for a few months now – re-read the Harry Potter series.
I am now on the 4th book after deciding to re-read on Wednesday evening!
The Goblet of Fire is probably one of my favourite in the series, largely due to Fred and George’s humour. I found this to be one of the funnier books in the series, despite it marking the start of a darker a period of time for Harry.
I also never realised just how young the books are, obviously they are kids books, but I never noticed before. Now being 19 and re-reading for the millionth time, I’m seeing them in a whole new light.
I also found that some of the writing isn’t as good as I remember it. Don’t get me wrong, I love Harry Potter as much as the next girl. But phrases such as ‘speeded-up film’ and such ring funny with me. Surely ‘sped’ would have been correct?
Either way, some parts of the writing don’t flow as well to me now I’m reading as an older audience.
What are you currently reading? Have you read Harry Potter? Let me know in the comments!

I love Harry Potter! I loved it when I was younger and I love it even more now I’m older as I understand more of the deeper messages
